Terms of use and consent
Version of October 8, 2026
These terms apply to ADMITO Rides, offered by Assembly of God Church - Toronto's Ministry (“ADMITO Church” or the “Church”), a registered Canadian charity (BN 78462 1088). By signing up, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these terms.
1. What ADMITO Rides is
ADMITO Rides is a free, volunteer-based tool that connects people who offer and people who need rides to the Church’s services.
The Church only facilitates contact between people. It does not provide transportation and does not organize, operate, or supervise rides. Arrangements are made directly between driver and passenger.
2. Voluntary and free
- Participation is voluntary, and you may leave at any time.
- Rides are free: no amount may be charged to passengers.
- Drivers and passengers freely decide whether to accept a ride, and either may decline or cancel.
3. Who can take part
- Only people aged 18 or older may sign up.
- Minors may only ride with a parent or legal guardian, who signs up, states how many people are going, and is responsible for them.
- Drivers are approved by the leadership before receiving requests. This approval is not a background, licence, vehicle, or insurance check, nor a guarantee about the person.
- The Church may refuse, suspend, or remove any sign-up at its discretion.
4. Driver commitments
By offering rides, you confirm and agree that:
- you hold a valid driver’s licence in Ontario (or the province where you drive);
- your vehicle is registered, in good condition, and covered by valid auto insurance as required by Ontario law;
- you will obey traffic laws, make sure everyone wears a seatbelt, and use a proper child car seat whenever children ride, as required by law;
- you will not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that impairs driving, nor use your phone while driving;
- you are solely responsible for operating your vehicle during the ride.
5. Passenger commitments
- Provide your correct starting point and how many people are going.
- Respect the driver and agreed times, and wear your seatbelt.
- Let us know in advance if you no longer need the ride, using the link sent by email.
6. Conduct
We expect respect, kindness, and care from everyone, in line with the Church’s values. Inappropriate behaviour, harassment, or any risky situation should be reported to the leadership (adm@admitochurch.com · +1 (416) 531-4620). In an emergency, call 911.
7. Risk and liability
You acknowledge that rides are arranged directly between participants and take place at their own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Church, its pastors, leaders, volunteers, and administrators are not liable for accidents, injuries, property damage, losses, delays, cancellations, forgotten items, the conduct of participants, or any other event related to rides. By using ADMITO Rides, you assume these risks and release the Church and the people above from claims related to them.
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
8. Your data and privacy
- We collect: name, email, phone/WhatsApp, starting point, services, trip, number of seats or people, car (drivers), and a record of your acceptance of these terms (date and version).
- We use this data only to find compatible rides, send system emails (confirmations, requests, and weekly reminders), and allow the leadership to manage the service.
- Before accepting, a driver only sees the passenger’s first name, approximate area, and how many people are going. Once the driver accepts, the passenger’s name, phone number, and starting point are sent to the driver, and the driver’s name, phone number, and car are sent to the passenger. By signing up, you authorize this sharing.
- Data is stored on the infrastructure of Netlify, which hosts the website. Your starting point may be processed by Google Maps or OpenStreetMap to calculate routes. These services may store data outside Canada.
- Ride requests are deleted automatically after 60 days. Your profile (name and contact) is kept while you use the service.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, or withdraw this consent, by writing to adm@admitochurch.com. Weekly reminders can be turned off using the link in the email.
- We do not sell your data or use it for any other purpose.
9. Changes to these terms
The Church may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, dated at the top, and a new acceptance is requested at your next sign-up.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
